About Hunter Valley wine tours
Hello Guys,
Only if you really think about wine tours to Hunter Valley?! We have more detailed information about wine tasting tours
It’s hard to explain what it is about the Blue Mountains that sticks with you. Could be the mist of eucalyptus oil hanging over the valleys, or the way the cliffs catch fire with gold light as the sun sets while cockatoos call out across the ridges. Whatever the reason, every time I leave Sydney behind and drive west toward the mountains’ fading light, I’m reminded how extraordinary this World Heritage site truly is.
I’ve been guiding travellers through this region — from the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point to the ancient Jenolan Caves and the wide Megalong Valley — for years, and trust me, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip. They’re the perfect escape from urban chaos, a natural cathedral of sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and gum-scented air.
Only an hour and a half west of Sydney via the Great Western Highway, the region is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. It’s over one million hectares of preserved wilderness, extending right out to Wollemi National Park. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt forests, home to over 400 species of Australian animals, from curious wallabies to secretive dingoes and mimicking lyrebirds.
